What is the Right Amount of Treatment? Guidelines by Hair Length and How to Use It

A general guideline for the Pure & Low Treatment is 1–2 pumps for short hair, 2–4 pumps for medium hair, and 5–6 pumps for long hair. However, the appropriate amount isn't determined by hair length alone. The fundamental approach is to start with a small amount and adjust it based on your hair volume, dryness, and level of damage.

How much treatment should you use? Amount by hair length and where to apply

By Hair Length | Recommended Amount of Treatment

First, determine the baseline amount based on your hair length. For Pure & Low Treatment, please start with the following amounts.

Hair Length Recommended Amount
Short 1–2 pumps
Medium 2–4 pumps
Long 5–6 pumps

If you have thin or sparse hair, start with a smaller amount. If you have thick hair or are concerned about dryness or damage at the ends, add one pump at a time while checking the finish.

Use only what you need, based on the condition of your hair.

Apply from the ends to the mid-lengths

The standard way to apply treatment is to start with the hair ends, where dryness and damage tend to occur. If you apply it to the roots from the start, your hair may look heavy or feel sticky.

Spread the treatment thinly over your palms and apply it by wrapping the hair ends first. Then, apply the remainder to the mid-lengths. Apply a very small amount to your bangs and the hair around your face last.

How to use Pure & Low Treatment

  1. After shampooing, remove excess water from your hair.
  2. Take an appropriate amount of treatment in your palm and spread it thinly.
  3. Apply it by wrapping the hair, starting from the ends which are prone to dryness.
  4. Work the remaining product into the mid-lengths of your hair.
  5. Towel dry, then dry with a hair dryer.

The key is not to apply a large amount all at once, but to start with the guideline amount and adjust it while checking the result.

From shampoo to treatment, make your daily hair care a seamless routine.

If you need more, add one pump at a time

Even if you are concerned about dryness at the ends, adding too much at once can result in partial heaviness or stickiness.

First, apply the baseline amount and check how easily your fingers run through your hair and how well-behaved the ends are. If you still feel it is not enough, adjust by adding one pump at a time.

If you notice dryness only at the ends after drying, you can also spread a very small amount thinly over your palms and apply it primarily to the ends.

The right amount of treatment isn't always the same every day

The appropriate amount varies not only by hair length but also by hair volume, hair type, and the degree of dryness.

The required amount changes depending on the humidity, dry weather, damage from coloring or heat, and even after you've had a haircut.

These usage figures are only a guideline. Find the amount that leaves your hair smooth without weighing it down, based on your hair's condition that day.

Signs of too much or too little

When you are unsure of the amount, use the condition of your hair after drying as a guide.

  • If your hair ends still feel dry or tangled, you may not be using enough.
  • If your hair clumps together or feels heavy or sticky, you may be using too much.

It is important not just to rely on "how many pumps" to use, but to adjust while observing the finished state of your hair.

From the ends, only as much as you need.

Use small amounts, adjusted for your hair length and the condition of the day. With Pure & Low Treatment, achieve a hair care routine that applies just the right amount exactly where it is needed.
