Why we layer mist after oil. The LHOOQ approach to basic care
LHOOQ’s basic care routine begins with applying a small amount of Universal Oil to the skin after washing, followed by Watery Serum Mist. While this may seem the reverse of the conventional "lotion then oil" method, LHOOQ proposes a simple routine where you first prepare the skin’s texture with oil, then layer on moisture with mist.
Why use oil first?
At LHOOQ, we don’t view oil as something to be used only at the very end of a skincare routine.
Our basic routine involves applying a small amount of Universal Oil to freshly washed skin to leave it soft and supple, then layering with Watery Serum Mist.
The key is not to use too much oil from the start. Begin by spreading a small amount thinly, starting with areas prone to dryness.
Start your basic care with just a small amount of oil.
Layering moisture with mist
After applying the oil, mist the Watery Serum Mist over your entire face.
Spritz the fine mist gently and, if necessary, press it into your skin with your palms. Avoid rubbing, and adjust the amount based on how your skin feels that day.
Watery Serum Mist can be used not only during your morning and evening routines, but also whenever you feel dryness during the day. It can be used on your hair and body, as well as your face.
Basic application of oil and mist
- After washing your face, gently pat away excess water with a towel.
- Apply a small amount of Universal Oil to your palms and spread it thinly.
- Apply it to the skin, starting with areas that feel dry, such as the cheeks, eyes, and mouth.
- Layer Watery Serum Mist over your entire face.
- If necessary, gently press it in with your palms.
The amount used will vary depending on the season and your skin’s condition that day. Rather than using a fixed amount for your entire face, start with a little and adjust as needed.
Lightly layer on moisture after your oil.
