What is the true appeal of LHOOQ, chosen by professionals?
Tranquil, located in Daikanyama, Tokyo, is a sustainable hair salon that caters to more mature sensibilities and is an offshoot of CANNA, a pioneer in organic beauty.
The space combines environmental considerations with design, and has garnered support from many repeat customers.
The people we spoke to this time were Igarashi Yoko , owner of both the salons "CANNA" and "tranquil," who has been a leader in the organic beauty industry since its early days, and Miyazawa Toyohiro , the current manager of Tranquil and a stylist renowned for his balance of theory and sensibility.
The two women, who incorporate the natural cosmetics brand "LHOOQ" into their daily salon work and recommend it to their customers, talked about its appeal and how they actually use it.

Tranquil's picks for LHOOQ's "really useful" two items: Universal Oil and Universal Balm
Owner Yoko Igarashi, a pioneer of organic beauty, and manager Toyohiro Miyazawa, who specializes in a style that combines theory and sensibility. The two, who are practicing creating a natural and sustainable salon , both recommend LHOOQ's "Universal Oil" and "Universal Balm".

Universal Oil
"Customers' first reaction is, 'It smells great!' " says Igarashi.
The scent spreads pleasantly but is not too overpowering, and its texture blends smoothly into the hair over time .
Igarashi's skin care routine is to carefully apply the product to moist skin immediately after washing her face , using her hands to gently blend it in.
We recommend that you apply a small amount to your hair after towel drying and then blow dry it, as this is also effective in preventing unruly, aging hair .
Miyazawa praised the product for its versatility, as it can be used on both dry and wet hair .
It has a smooth texture, but is also designed to be balanced to give you a firm, stylish look.

Universal Balm
This balm is renowned for its moisturizing properties and is ideal for caring for areas prone to dryness .
Igarashi is a fan of the product, saying, "I rely on it when my whole body gets dry and itchy in the winter."
Some staff members have said that it is most effective when they have atopic dermatitis, which shows how effective it is for treating skin problems.
Miyazawa also praised the balm for its "natural UV protection." It 's perfect for spring and summer, and works even better when blended with oil.
Especially with permed styles, we highly recommend mixing these products when the hair is wet to create a nuance of shine and curl, and they also produce a beautiful finish even when left to dry naturally.

Recommended uses of tranquil
Oil and balm, either alone or in combination. The "just right" as practiced by professionals.
[Using oil for skin care]
After the bath, while your skin is still moisturized, apply LHOOQ Universal Oil to your skin by pressing it into your skin thoroughly with your hands. Don't rub, but gently wrap your skin in the palms of your hands.
"The more time passes, the smoother it becomes, and I like how light it is, to the point where I forget I've even applied it, " says Igarashi.
[Apply a layer of moisture to your hair with oil before drying]
After towel drying, apply a small amount of oil to the ends of your hair before drying to prevent dryness and ageing hair that is difficult to manage and makes it easier to manage.
[Oil + balm for perfect shine and volume in permed styles]
Mix the oil and balm into wet hair, then let it air-dry or finish with a hair dryer to create beautiful curl texture.
According to Miyazawa, "This combination of two ingredients is versatile. It has an exquisite balance of shine and moisture ."
[Use balm to finish off your styling]
For dry hair, use the balm alone. The slightly heavy texture creates a natural volume and fits well with nuanced styles. It also works well as a UV protection measure during the seasons when UV rays are a concern .

Thank you to Igarashi and Miyazawa from Tranquil for your cooperation in this interview.
